The Ngeruka Clinic, a new health facility opened in August, 2010 in Bugesera District, Rwanda, serves approximately 27,000 previously underserved individuals. Throughout Rwanda there are only 899 doctors for more than 9 million people, and only 185 of these doctors are in rural areas. The Access Project, a social enterprise, is working with the government to turn the Kinyigi into a profitable, sustainable, and properly managed rural health facility.
