Gertrude Nambaliwa, a Community Health Promoter for social enterprise Living Goods in Kampala, Uganda, shows customers some of her health products for sale, such as deworming tablets, water purifiers, and feminine products. Gertrude is recently widowed, and with three children of her own, now provides essential health services and products to over 400 families in her community. Living Goods uses an "Avon-Lady" like system to sell essential health products and services in urban slums and rural areas across Uganda.
